I teach my students Algebra I for High School Credit (even though their 8th graders). I also teach them Advanced Pre-Algebra and General Pre-Algebra. I am trying to incorporate more 'visuals' into my instruction. I find many of my students don't have a clear picture of what the mathematics they are learning truly represents.

My Philosophy:
All students can learn more. All can improve. Students struggling to learn is not bad, it means they are actively learning. However, they need to be encouraged and supported during the learning and recognized and praised when they accomplish a goal.
