Students per Class: Approximately 60
Class Description:
I teach a full-time looping class of third and fourth graders. During this time we switch for reading based on ability and I teach students that read way above grade level and require differentiated instruction. After school I teach a class for highly capable/gifted students in grades 4-6. I also track and assist teachers with the gifted learners in grades 7-8.

Our school is behind the rest of the district in technology updates. Students need experiences with technology early in order for them to be 21st century learners.
My Philosophy:
Technology can be a savior, or a crutch. Students need to be taught how to use it in an ethical and responsible way. They need to be shown how to create, problem solve, collaborate, and analyze information gathered rather than simply accessing other resources that may or may not be reliable.
