Mr. Dylan Tyrrell
Add Me as a Friend!
Carl G Lauro Elementary School
Class Information:
Room Number: 208
Students per Class: 14
Class Description:
Hello! My classroom consists of 14 wonderful students. English is the second language for all of my students. All of my students come from poverty. All of my students are at-risk children.
Position:
5th Grade ESL Teacher
Needs:
My classroom needs much technology. Carl G. Lauro is the largest elementary school in Rhode Island, yet there is NO technology. We are sturggling to even find one computer for my classroom. My dream would be to have a SmartBoard set up in my room. I was lucky enough to teach at a school that had a SmartBoard last year. The level of engagement that a SmartBoard offers is amazing. The students are drawn to it. It makes learning fun and engaging.
My Philosophy:
I want to give my students and experience they will not forget. I want them to think back to my classroom in the future and say, "That was a fun class!" I also believe that we are in a digital age. Technology will only continue to grow from here. Every classroom in America should be FILLED with technology to prepare students for college, as well as the technology filled world we live in.
