Class Description:
12th Grade Technology Applications. We learn about how to best use technology in real-world applications. Part of this course is about robotics and programming, and I think the LEGO NXT robotics kit is a good choice for the average student. 11th & 12th Engineering & Technology. We learn about mechanical drawings, machine shop tools, electronics, circuit construction, digital and analog circuits, binary numbers, digitization, and robotics. 12thPre-Calculus with Integrated Physics. We learn about how math can be applied to real-world applications, using sensors and data acquisition systems. Chinquapinis a school for low-income minority students from the Houston area.

My Philosophy:
As a former engineer in industry, my philosophy is to give students the knowledge and experience they need to discover their passions and select a field of study before they head off to college.

About Me:
I was an engineer for 13 years, did a Peace Corps service in Nepal, and became a secondary teacher. I am motivated by discovering new and inexpensive ways to give my students a real-world experience and hopefully inspire them in the process.

Why Do I Teach?:
I want to make a difference; teaching gives my life purpose. I believe education can at least help prevent someone from being taken advantage of. At best education lays the path to a higher awareness.
