Class Description:
I teach 8th grade science but I am on an interdisciplinaryteam; I see my role as not the supplier of all knowledge but as a facilitator of "how" to learn. My classroom incorporates all the content areas.

Needs:
Available technology in the kids' hands-classroom set to be shared across the whole team-of Kindle Fire Tablets which will serve multiple roles: record video and pictures, access to the internet, software available free by Google Docs.
My Philosophy:
Education must change with the needs of society. Even though our students may be "tech savy" they still need to be taught how to use the available technology responsibly and how to identify valid sources.

Why Do I Teach?:
School was difficult for me because I need to "see a concept" in order to learn and understand it. I get the most excited when I see my students engaged in their learning and I try very hard to make my classroom a stimulating and inviting place where the kids want to be.
