For students to become technically literate while meeting grade level language arts standards in writing, listening, and speaking in a way which provides an opportunity for character development and self expression.

* Students will view photo essays by various authors and select one to write a reflection on.

* Students will take photographs of their community, family, friends, neighborhood, and other relevant images they feel represent their identity in some way.

* Students will select 10 of their best images that they feel will convey the most meaning and write a caption for each.

* Students will use editing software to create a story board using 10 of their best images and captions.

* Students will develop the photos and print the captions to place on mounted boards that will go on display in the mid city building.

* Students will then publish their digital content to the classroom website.

* Students will create an audio file for each caption using their own voice to include with each image, and publish audio content to the classroom website.

*Students will promote the website using email, fliers and word of mouth.

* Students will attend the Opening Exhibition event with family and friends.
