Materials Used: Cubelets, Construction Paper, Video Camera, Final Cut, Computer Lab
Objectives: Students will: -Use Cubelets to create a robotic car -Learn about today’s top technologies in self-driving cars -Use a camera and film editing software to create a video
Procedure: -Break into groups or 3-5 -Design and create a Cubelet car using the sensors to drive and steer the car -Design and create a track for the car to run. Students can modify the car and track at any point as they see fit. Students will record and explain their modifications and results. -Students will then go to the computer lab and research in their groups about the technologies involved with self-driving cars. They will use graphic organizer to record their findings and explain it on their film. -Students will be given time to use Final Cut Pro to create a video of their experiments.
Evaluation - Students will be evaluated on observation during their unit and a final grade on their video. |
