Class Description:
I am the Technology Assistant for Kindergarten through 5th grade! We work on everything from finding our letters on the keyboard to creating in depth multimedia projects including digital photography, photo editing, and voice recording! This year I am really focusing on global projects and project based learning with Web 2.0 tools with the children.

My Philosophy:
I believe that technology is our future! Everyday there are new advancements making it difficult to keep up! I feel that, as educators, it is our job to make sure that all children get are exposed to the new technologies around us! They shouldn't be afraid of technology! I want my students to feel comfortable around computers and other amazing technologies!
Personal Information:
About Me:
I grew up in the same small town that I am now teaching in. It is wonderful to see children come through the same elementary school that I was once a student at and help make their education a success just as my teachers did!
College and Degrees:
I am currently working on completing my teaching certification and planning on obtaining a master's degree in technology instruction.
Activities:
I also teach dance to elementary through high school age children three nights a week.
Favorite Books:
Wuthering Heights, First One Foot Then the Other, Forever and Always, the If You Give a Mouse a Muffin series....

Employment History:
I was a professional dancer with a ballet company up until becoming employed at New Market in 2006.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love to see the excitement in a childs face when they learn something new! A lot of people forget about the small things in life. Children, however, are good reminders that it is the small things that makes life wonderful!
