The students will engage 100% in their St. Augustine field trip by taking pictures and taking notes about what they are photographing.

They will be given a list of ten important historical items that they should find on the field trip. They will be encouraged to find atleast five more items that they think are interesting facts about the history of St. Augustine.

For each of these items they will take a photograph and take detailed notes. They will also use a digital voice recorder to record notes about each photograph.

Using the picures and their notes they will prepare a Power Point and a Scrapbook about St. Augustine's history. Their Writing that narrarates each slide will be required to meet 4th grade Writing expectations.

Each student will have an opportunity to share their Power Point Presentation and scrapbook with another classroom at the school. This will help build confidence in their Public Speaking abilities.

One Power Point each year will be used prior to the fied trip each year to obtain the interest of the 4th graders the following year.
