Online School Newspaper

1. Students will be divided into 3 groups (journalists, photographers, and editors).
2. Using a word processing and clip art program - the journalists will report on monthly school assemblies, events and classroom news.
3. Some journalists will use digital recorders to tape interviews and use the interview in their report.
4. The photographers will use a digital camera to take photos of our monthly school assemblies, events and classroom news. They will use a photo editing program to edit the photos. Please note: we already have all the release papers to take photographs and post them on the Internet.
5. The editors will be responsible for uploading the journalist's and photographer's documents on the school website, www.lsfb.org. The editors will be responsible for the layout of our web page - they will work will web page building programs.
6. The newspaper will also be printed out and given to the students to take home.
7. This project is meant to enhance cooperative learning and build positive social relationships through group work.
