What a Beautiful Country

Anticipatory Set
-Students will think of and write three things that atheir family does that is culturally related.

Statement of expected outcomes-objective
-Studnets will gain a better understanding and respect for a culture other than their own.

Guided practice
-Teacher will ask students to talk about the answers to the anticiparoty set. Teacher will have students take their digital picture, insert it into a word document and create a flyer about themselves.

Independent practice
-Students will be given 20 - 25 minutes to go around the school and take digital pictures of things that deal with any culture other than their own.

Closure
-Students will transfer pictures to their coputer0 hard drives. The pictures will be used to create a poster or banner emphasizing what a beautiful country we live in.
