Students will spend a few weeks practicing their parts in a play. They will learn to pause at grammatical markers (commas and periods) to add meaning to the text. They will practice adding the appropriate emotion to the text. They will begin to chunk words together to make the reading more fluent.

During practice we will film sections of the play to review and offer a constructive critique of their work.

As a final project, we will film the play in it's entirety to play for the students as a class.

We will edit sections of the play to make it look professional.

The class will go to the computer lab to burn copies of the play so that each student will have a copy to share with their parents.
Follow-Up
use Windows Movie Maker or other video editing program to edit the film, add music and commentary.
