Day 1: Students will view a PowerPoint slideshow on basic photography methods. After the slideshow the students will look through the yearbook photo database to find pictures that match the methods used in the slideshow.

Day 2-3: Students will be instructed on how to use Adobe Photoshop to fix common photo problems (cropping, lighting, red-eye, etc.). They will also be given instructions on several of the creative options that Photoshop offers. Students will practice the techniques they have learned on photos that are already in the yearbook database.

Day 4-5: Students will practice taking their own photos using digital cameras. Each student is required to submit a photo for each of the following categories: Large Group, Small Group, Overall, Close-Up Mug Shot, Bird’s Eye, Worm's Eye, Vertical, Horizontal, and Action Shot.

Day 6-7: Students will learn how to upload their photos onto the computer and then they will use Photoshop to fix or enhance the photos.

Day 8-9: Students will create text for their photos that can be used for the yearbook (short captions, extended captions, interview questions, surveys, etc.
