In pairs, or individually, each student will work with the teacher or paraprofessional to identify items that are needed at the store. For example, one pair may check out the refrigerator and see what is low. Or, another pair may check the cleaning supplies, pantry, etc. The student will take pictures of what is needed. Most students who will benefit from this exercise cannot handle more than 5 items.

The pictures can be uploaded to a word document or a powerpoint. Then easily printed in a list format.

Notes:
Some students may need the list printed in the order in which they will find the items at the store. Having a map of the store you regularly shop is helpful for planning ahead.
