Christmas Song Powerpoint

Given instructions and a rubric, students will make a Power Point Presentation consisting of at least 5 slides, animated or sound clipart, and the lyrics to at least the chorus of their favorite Christmas song. After completing the assignment, students will present their slide shows to the rest of the class using an LCD projector.

This activity will assist students to build on keyboarding skills as they type familiar words of Christmas songs. They will build language and spelling skills. They will also work on verbal skills as they present the Power Points to the rest of the class. The presentations will be even more personal as they add a photograph of themselves or friend/family.

All of the learned skills can be used in other subject areas of classroom instruction.
