Appropriate communication allows one to function on a daily basis. We work very hard to provide our students with functional communication.
Every day we provide our students with many pictures which allow them to express how they feel, what they want, as well as identifying items both expressively and receptively.
Throughout the day, we also use pictures to assist with the many transitions that occur during the school day. A change in the environment can be extremely difficult without the communication needed for expression. Pictures often help to show each student what they need to do as well as what is to come. This is extremely important when there is a chnage from the typical routine.

It is for the reasons listed above that a camera would be used on a daily basis in the classroom.
