Students will work in pairs using a Flip video camera to record information during their outdoor education experience at a nature center. Students will have classes in English, social studies, and science. Prep work will be done before outdoor education to make lists of questions that students need to record answers to. Students will also look at the list of classes to decide who videos which course. At the camp, students will go in their groups with the video camera. They will record information on the class, answer previous thought up questions, and bits of the class. Students will colaborate with one another to ensure that all information that they have mapped out is recorded. Upon returning to school, students will use the FlipShare program to create a video journal with their partner answering questions, telling about camp, and a nice record of their trip. Students will publish their video on DVD so they have a copy and paste on the class website. Students will be graded in English, social studies, science, and technology. Students will also present their video in class.
