•A short lesson to review the wars of America and the importance honoring those who served. An awareness of the living history that is at their fingertips will be stressed.

•Students compile a survey to be sent home to all school families asking for names and phone numbers of veterans or active military personnel willing to participate.

•Lessons conducted on using the scanner, digital cameras (snapshots and movie clips), and production programs(iMovie, Keynote, Powerpoint).

•Students compile questions and procedures for conducting interviews.

•Students set up interview times after receiving surveys.

•Students conduct interviews....scanning items brought in by veteran, snapshot of veteran with student in school they are related to or associated with and a short recording of what makes them proud to be an American.

•Student groups are assigned one veteran to work on by sorting through the information and preparing it to be loaded into the chosen presentation format.

•An assigned group of tech students link together the information and fine tune the presentation.

•On the day of the Veterans Day service, all veterans, military and students will be able to view the living history in their own school community. A true feeling of American Pride!!

• Students may expand the lesson by learing to burn the program on a DVD so that the veterans may have their own copy.
