School: Hopkins St Elementary School, New Iberia, LA
Planned By: Christine Bayard
Original Author: Christine Bayard, New Iberia
Objective: The student will be able to divide a fraction by another fraction using visual models and the "Invert and Multiply Rule."

I do: The teacher will model how to go from developing visual models of the division of fractions to creating the "Invert & Multiply Rule." This will be modeled in a presentation on a Promethean Board. (Eureka Math: 6th Grade: Module 2: Lesson 7)

We do: The students will work in pairs to answer exercises in their math work books. The students will explain their processes to their partners.

You do: The student will log on to TenMarks using his/her own username and password. The student will select the teacher-made assignment on dividing fractions. The student should score an 80% or better on the assignment.

Differentiation: The teacher will assign remediation assignments to students who need remediation based on the previous day's lesson.

Evaluation: Teacher will view students' scores on TenMarks to determine if student meets 80% expectation.
Comments
I would like to have 6 desktop computers at the back of my classroom with a printer for projects. I would like to have at least 18 laptops (20 would be better since I have 18 students now but that could change.) for my 18 students to be able to each work on their own computer and not have to share.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
I would also use the laptops for research in my 6th grade social studies class. My students do not have computers or internet access at home so this would allow them to do more social studies research projects.
