I remember when I was in the fourth or fifth grade; it was the first time I was introduced to technology. In the late 80's the only thing you could do on a computer was type a document or make a long banner with the preforated sides. We were so excited to be able to print out messages like: "I love Fourth Grade". We learned how to type and play games. My school is a former Philadelphia Public School that was taken over by a charter school company because the students were low performing. The building is old and we our doing our part to spruce it up. The technology is outdated and non functioning. The computers are more than 15 years old. Please help my students become GLOBAL LEARNERS THROUGH TECHNOLOGY!!!! We would like to start with two new IMAC desktops and a Macbook Pro. It a new Day at Birney Preparatory Academy!!!!
