Education in the 21st century is changing rapidly. I want to be able to provide my students with the necessary tools, so that by the years end, they are ready to tackle the electronic highway that awaits them.

My students are great. They are a 5th and 6th graders that come to school everyday ready to learn what I have planned for them. We are a lower-middle income school community that, like many schools, find it hard to keep pace with an ever changing technological world and communities with a higher socio-economic base. These students work hard and like coming to school. These students are facing challenges that some of their wealthier counterparts do not face. Parents in this community, more often than not, can not send their children to school with basic supplies for their school year. These students are being assessed using technology with state standardized testing.

These chrome books will allow the students to have critical exposure to testing practice, as well as intervention online activities to get their state scores from the Needs Improvement or Warning level to the Proficient and Advanced levels. They have the desire, this will give them the tools to achieve.
