We have a Mandarin Immersion program here at Eugene Field Elementary School in Pasadena, California. Students are learning to speak and write in Mandarin from kindergarten! As a kindergarten teacher, I see how much students benefit from visual, auditory support and immediate feedback that provided by using technology. But with only one iPad rotating, it's really not an efficient way of teaching. We can only project the iPad on the screen and have one student to use the iPad. I would love to have 6 iPads in the classroom. So my students can work on iPads together during their small group time. They will especially benefit from having one iPad per student during Chinese characters writing practice time. The apps they will use give an immediate feedback on every stroke they write on the iPad screen. They can all work at their individual pace and involve minimum distractions. Our students are excited and proud of what they learn. Your support will light up their learning experience!
