A Handheld Library

A Kindle is an easy to use device that allows students to store and read e-books at their convenience. Teachers say it's that type of technology that has students excited about reading.

E-readers like the kindle—larger than an average paperback but smaller than a laptop—can be stocked with digital texts, which are downloaded from computers or special websites. Users can transport them, and in effect an entire digital library, to a desk, a couch, or a bench outside.
