“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” --Dr. Seuss. My students love technology! They have the drive and motivation to do great things! Unfortunately, our access and availability is limited.
I would like to purchase four iPads with protective cases and screensavers for my second grade classroom. Having these available in my classroom would mean continuous access to an amazing learning tool. The possibilities are endless! From reading comprehension and decoding apps, to math learning tools, live maps, science experiments, writing resources, and coding, the iPads will increase engagement and motivation to learn. They enhance the learning experience for all students, whether they're linguistic learners, musically-inclined, or like to move! The Apple apps for education are aligned with our standards, and engage all students in a way that's motivating and rewarding. Not only does having consistent access to iPads enhance student learning, it's also a great tool for teachers. It provides a more efficient way to track student learning and keep data, increases student participation with classroom management apps, including the use of noise control apps, timers, and clocks.
