Hi. I am a brand new music/theater teacher in a severely underfunded NYC school. So far this year, I have invested $2500 into buying my own curriculum, instruments, etc. The principal has supplied me nothing.

I have some really amazing ideas for this program, but I cannot afford to keep paying out of pocket. Storytelling is a huge part of the learning process and incorporates aspects of theater. I would like to purchase a complete puppet library for the children to use to create stories. I would also purchase puppet sets from the Three Little Pigs, etc. so younger, more reluctant speakers can tell well-known stories. This would be especially useful since my school has a 60% English a Second Langauge population. This would give them a comfortable setting to practice speaking in English.

For the older kids, the money would go towards a similar strategy, but I would buy a complete podcasting station for the kids to practice creativity and language.

Please help me if you are able in funding these projects. Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
