AVID is a class for those first generation college students. AVID requires students to enter advanced classes while giving them tutoring to ensure success. We are in desperate need of computers in our classroom. The district has allotted me four computers, but these are so old they freeze all the time and they cannot print.

We would like to raise enough money to equip the classroom with at least 10 computers and a one main printer so that students who don't have access to a computer at home, may do so at schoo.

Why I Teach: I teach because school was hard for me. I enjoy finding ways to interest students who remind me of myself at this age. Learning can be fun but it begins by making connections with the students.
