I have an amazing job working with teachers, counselors, and librarians to improve student achievement in our High School. I spend my day moving from department to department, classroom to classroom helping teachers and support personel to look at student data, set SMART goals, design common assessments and plan curriculum in order to best meet the needs of all of the learners in our building. This approach is quite unique among high schools. Since I am moving around the building all day long, a tablet would be an amazing tool for me to have as I support students and teachers. This tool would provide greater ease due to its portability and capabilities for both my own productivity as well as the coaching that I could provide on using this type of technology with students for tracking progress, assessment, enhanced learning and student engagement. I am highly interested in the use of technology as a teaching tool for our students, and I wish to develop my own knowledge and comfort with the many capabilities so that I can pass that on to teachers as a coach. Please consider contributing to the purchase of a tablet, docking station, case and portable keyboard. Thank you!
