As an Academic Intervention Service teacher instructing K-5 students in math, I believe that the use of iPad's would greatly impact my student's learning. Implementation of Ipad's in a small group setting will increase motivation for struggling learners and help foster a love for math. Building the necessary confidence in mathematical reasoning, is important as it directly helps increase academic goals. Using apps that support our math curriculum such as, Top-it, Beat the Computer, Fractions, and Divisibility by McGraw-Hill, children can be actively involved with a more hands on approach for learning math. It is my hope to use technology to continue developing the minds of children by making mathematics fun and interactive.
