Technology plays a vital role for students to succeed in today's society. This project will benefit every student in my class and future classes to come. Through the use of an IPAD tend its educational applications, my students can become successful readers in two languages.Our school prides itself on being a responsible community and making learning accessible for all students. All students learn and spend their entire day in the classroom; with that comes dedication from all teachers, who work together to create and implement universally designed lessons that are exciting and fun. We work to ensure that all students have the opportunity to be successful at learning, and having a tablet in our classroom will help us in doing so. An IPAD will allow us to technologically connect with all student levels. My students are all willing to learn and try new things to help them succeed and become bi-literate, with an IPAD, the opportunities are ENDLESS!My Project: Having an IPAD will help my students in all subjects but most importantly reading. Students will be able to use different reading educational apps to explore. They can use it during our daily five block and utilize it to achieve their goal for the year. In addition, a tablet will be very helpful when introducing a concept. My students will be able to work with different apps to reinforce the topics learned in class. Using the IPAD will also allow us to learn about science experiments, movement in shapes like sliding and turning, grammar corrections in sentences, and so much more. With apps like Sentence Builder, Learn to Read, Splash Math, students will experience technology in the classroom and learn concepts visually, which is sometimes the key to mastering a concept like addition.
