Our kindergarten students struggle with letter recognition and sounds. Students begin kindergarten unfamiliar with letters. By using an IPad, students can access apps that would be very beneficial to them. Apps that will help them learn the alphabet and recognize letters and their sounds. An IPad would be used daily to help students in all areas. Students would be able to work together using this technology in small groups or could use the IPods one-on-one. By using an IPad students will be more compelled to participate in small group activities. Students would be engaged in learning their letters by using this type of technology. The students will enjoy learning by using the IPad and will become fluent readers and writers! This type of learning will set the foundation for these students for years to come.
