This fundraiser will benefit students from grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade. By implementing iPads in the fine arts classroom, students would have hands on, engaging applications to reinforce music, art and dramatic play instruction. Various free and for purchase applications are easily accessible and developmentally appropriate for all students on campus. Additionally, by allowing the students to use this creative outlet for various projects that directly correlate to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, students will be more well rounded through technology and their fine arts instruction. The iPads will be used to access digital art, create/listen to/mash up music, create presentations, encourage writing through a different avenue, and easily access research materials. By creating a twenty-first century classroom in the Fine Arts department, we can help teach the "whole" student, while promoting self-esteem in children who may not naturally excel in other areas.
