Why I need this:
Nearly all of my students are without technology in their homes. In addition, we generally have shared technology in our building, so there is limited opportunities for students to use technology. By having 3-D printers, students in my class would always have access to this piece of technology. My class focuses on problem-solving, creating and team-work. A 3-D printer would enable my students the opportunity to learn a new piece of technology and to see and demonstrate their solutions as well as share them with the rest of the school community. I believe these printers would instill a sense of pride in my students as well as an increased interest in science and technology. |
