Needs:
The school district focus is to reduce the achievement gap and this year the district are proposing a new English language reading curriculum. Our school has adopted the program "Study Sync." This program offers both an ELD and ELA program. The program benefits greatly with the use of technology and in certain aspects, requires it. Our team of teachers are trying to be creative in meeting the challenge, but are looking for avenues to meet this need. Each class size average is 36 students and one cart of chromebooks is $12,000.00
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is to guide students by conferring students at their own depth of knowledge and introducing them to a higher skill that will increase their own knowledge base. It is a student centered classroom where I facilitate students in their growth of writing, speaking and reading. I work hard trying to prepare them for high school by helping them internalize the skills necessary for their success.
