Class Description:
This year I have 16 boys and 8 girls. I have a mix of all ability levels.

Needs:
I am in need for technology. Even though I work in a fairly new school, our technology is very limited.
My Philosophy:
I believe that every student should have the opportunity to learn in a way that will best meet his/her needs. I believe that students should be prepared to meet the demands of the 21st century.

About Me:
I am currently in my 7th year of teaching. I taught kindergarten for 5 1/2 years and I am now teaching 2nd grade! When I am not teaching, I am in school myself. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Reading.
College and Degrees:
Greensboro College - BA in Early Childhood Education MeredithCollege - 2010 - MEd in Reading
Activities:
I will be running in my first marathon in Novemer. I enjoy shopping and spending Saturdays cheering on the NCSU football team!
Favorite Books:
My favorite book as a child was Miss Tilly O'Tool and the Wonderful School. I love to read Fancy Nancy and Skippyjon Jones to my students!

Interests:
I have a new found interst in technology. I took a technology class this past summer and it has sparked this new interest.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach to inspire tomorrow's leaders. I remember always wanting to go to school and I loved every minute of it! I want to make sure that my students love everything about school!
