Class Description:
I have a 4th grade class of 8 boys and 10 girls. They range from high average to below grade level. We work very hard to help every student meet their highest potential. There are no bad behaviors and everyone helps each other.
Position:
Resource Teacher
Needs:
My class needs a promethean board. Ours is the only 4th grade classroom without one. Hopefully, by next year we will have this need fulfilled.
My Philosophy:
It is my feelings that all kids can learn. It is my job as a teacher to find the specific learning needs of each of my students so that I may help them reach their highest potential.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I've been in education for 24 years. I married at the age of 17 and have been married for 36 years, have two sons and 5 grandchildren. Our last grandchild (a girl) was born 12/02/07 and only weight 15 oz. at birth. She is our miracle baby. She is now one year old and weighs 14 lbs. .
College and Degrees:
I earned my undergraduate degree from Piedmont College in Demorest,Georgia,while working full time and attending classes at night. I earned my graduate degree from Troy University by going to a cohort class held at our local high school.
Activities:
I love to bake, read, and spend time with my grandchildren.
Favorite Books:
I enjoy reading mysteries and anything by James Patterson.
