This USB Microscope allows for real-time display on computer screens, enabling multiple students to view detail at the same time.

Class Information:
Students per Class: 100
Class Description:
I teach one hour of Reading and four hours of Science to the 5th graders at Piper East Elementary in Kansas City, KS. I have my certificate in eMints/METS training. This stands for Mathematics Engineering Technology and Science. In my classroom I instruct a little bit from the traditional stand point, but mainly from inquiry based on discovery learning. I'm trying to find a way to create a more technology enriched classroom so that students can further understand the Science Concepts we study.
Position:
5th Grade Teacher
Needs:
I would love to have sets of 6 probes from Vernier Software and Technology. Their website is www.vernier.com Iwould like the Temperature, Motion, Light, Barometer and Relative Humidity Probes or Sensors. I used these probes at a previous school with my students and they really brought the concepts to a concrete level instead of just reading about it from a text book. Another need I have is for microscopes. I would like to have a set of six. The microscopes would hook up to the laptop which would allow for the picture to show on the screen. The last item I'm asking for is a digital camera. I would like for students to take pictures of the concept we are learning and make a movie to demonstrate their understanding of a concept or process.
