Class Description:
I am a resource teacher for grades 6 - 8. The class is taught in a computer lab that houses 25 Windows XP computers. I do not have a Smartboard, and used my own money to purchase a projector that is ceiling mounted and projects on the wall. Every class I teach contains students with disabilities mixed with high performing students. My 8th grade students maintain a news website with a domain that I personally purchased. I used my faculty student money to purchase 1 iPad that could be used to take photos and videos for our site.

My Philosophy:
Change is happening at lightning speed. The traditional wage earning jobs are in short supply, and the economy has taken a toll on our community. Drugs are prevalent, and so many of my students take care of themselves. I want to reignite the light of hope in my students lives, and I want to be their "encourager" so that they prosper and become functioning members of our society. My motto is taken straight from the Black Eyed Peas song, "Where is the Love."
