Advanced Yearbook & Photography Club Digital Camera Mobile Lab, $3449.00, 0.00% raised
Advanced Yearbook & Photography Club Digital Camera Mobile Lab Rank:
Single Unit Why I need this:
We have been "making do" on donated cameras or cheap point and shoot cameras for years. As a result, the images for our yearbook are okay, but not the sharpest or best. Next year, I would like to improve our yearbook with both having better equipment and having consistent cameras to teach students actual photography techniques.
Quantity: 1 Price: $3449.00
This lab is configured for advanced yearbook and photography club users needing the power, performance and portabilty of the Nikon Coolpix series cameras

Class Information:
Room Number: 152
Students per Class: 15-22
Class Description:
This is a classroom for students who have mild to moderate disabilities. I teach 3 periods of Reading to 6th through 8th graders, and seventh grade science and social studies for the last two periods of the day.
Position:
Special Education Teacher (Academic Support)
Needs:
Our class is using 10 year old Macbook laptops (System 10.4.11) to be able to access Google Docs, Schoology and learn keyboarding. These computers have lots of "issues" causing them to need lots of "workarounds". Even though we are a STEM school, our class does not receive highest priority for new equipment and materials.
My Philosophy:
Our class is an Academic Support Class--this means that our class is composed of students who are smart but learn differently. They have mild disabilities that make it more difficult for some to get information from text, while others have difficulties with understanding and remembering what is said. As a result we do our lessons using multiple means of input. Utilizingtechnology, our students are increasing their academic skills to be able to compete in the real world. We are focusing on project based education that has high interest, relevance, and meets state standards. My students will not only compete with others, but will have the skills to make them winners.
