I teach Economics and Citizenship as semester-long courses to 10th graders. In addition, I teach a section of AP US Government. The student body at MCHS has approximately a 40% minority population and our students run the gamut of the socio-economic levels. I teach in a doublewide that we affectionately call a "Cottage of Learning". I have a "neighbor" who is my teaching partner, as well as a colleague who also teaches three sections of Economics/Citizenship. We attempt to plan parallel experiences for our students.
I like to think that my classroom is relaxed yet orderly, and hope that I support my students to the point where they feel comfortable pushing themselves to do things they never thought they could do. My teaching partner
