HP Chromebook 14, $945.00, 0.00% raised
HP Chromebook 14 Rank:
Single Unit Why I need this:
My students don't have access to computers for assignments as readily as I would like. We have to share a computer lab with five other classrooms, and many times, we don't have access when an assignment or project is going on. This makes planning a struggle, and many times we aren't able to complete projects as timely as we would like. I have purchased five Chromebooks for my classroom with my own money. If I had another five, students would be able to be 2:1.
Quantity: 5 Price: $189.00

Class Information:
Room Number: 32
Students per Class: 21
Class Description:
My class is a filled with students living in a rural community. I demand respect from my students, and they readily accept and crave it themselves. They aren't always quiet and attentive students, but they love learning, are creative, and are like sponges for knowledge. They are very appreciative of everything that I do for them.
Position:
6th Grade Teacher
Needs:
Even though my student's lives are rich from growing up in a country environment, they often times lack resources that would be more readily available in a larger school or in a city where resources are closer to them. My students lack technology resources, and supplies.
My Philosophy:
All children can learn and grow if they are provided with a safe environment in which to do so. It is the responsibility of educators to provide them with this. Educators need to do this by having strong classroom management, high expectations, and stress accountability. Tom Peters once said, “Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders”. It is our job as educators to create more leaders that will become productive citizens later in life. The world that we live in today is full of change and students must be able to grow and adapt to change. As educators, we must help our students become problem-solvers and lifelong learners, so they will always be able to compete in this world. They must have the ability to understand technology, work well with others, and be conscientious citizens in their communities. Educators need to encourage their students to be morally and socially strong influences on others.
