Due to my status as school media specialist, I serve the entire school community, from students, to teachers, to administration, even families. The media center is split into two distinct areas: the traditional library setting with books and tables, and a Mac lab.
Needs:
Although the school has a long, long wishlist, that includes new Macs (the current ones are 10 years old), we want to add digital camera technology to the curriculum to practice moviemaking and storyboarding, as well as creating a yearbook club.
My Philosophy:
My teaching philosophy is very simple: Every student deserves the right to learn. Our students lack many technologies at home that so many of us take for granted, so I view it as my responsibility to provide those opportunities at school.
