Personal Information:
About Me:
I am 24 years old, and live in Roxboro, North Carolina. I am teaching fourth grade in the town where I grew up. It's great to be surrounded by supportive family and friends that have known me through my entire education.
College and Degrees:
I graduated in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BS in Elementary Education. I have a licensure in grades K-6 and my concentration was in history.
Activities:
I work at a small ice cream shop as a second job, and also help with tutoring two days a week. I enjoy traveling and reading.
Favorite Books:
My favorite books right now are the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer. I also love mysteries by Mary Higgins Clark. My favorite children's authors are Roald Dahl and Patricia Polacco.
Employment History:
This is my second year teaching fourth grade at Stories Creek Elementary.
Why Do I Teach?:
I love teaching! Every day I get to help students learn and be successful. My class is very loving, and we have a great time together! I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I feel very fortunate to finally be able to do so!
