Why Do I Teach?:
As peace educator and journalist Colman McCarthy once said, “Unless we teach our children peace, someone else will teach them violence.” I teach youth about histories of people, their struggles and methods to create socially just communities. I teach because I aim to inspire and equip youth with skills to be agents of positive change in their communities and around the world. I teach about peace and nonviolence; I teach for peace and nonviolence.
