Class Description:
Currently, I teach two classes. I have a class of 24 wonderful fourth graders that love to make me laugh. They are a talkative bunch, but we love to learn to write and learn about science together. My second class are full of creative Academically Gifted students. We learn about math, reading and social studies. I love my job!!!! Help me make my job a bit easier and more exciting for today's kids!

Students need technology today. They will have jobs in the future that are integrated with technology so much more than we can even imagine. By learning in a technology-rich environment, they will be ready for tomorrow's challenges.

All students can learn, and if they have the right environment and encouragement, they will be life-long learners and successful adults.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I have been married for 32 years to Brad. I have 2 sons, Jarad and Brian and a new daughter-in-law, Lauren. I love to read and obviously, teaching is a passion. I love animals, and currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I love living in NC!
College and Degrees:
I have 2 Bachelor Degrees. My first Degree is a BS in Respiratory Therapy from the University of Missouri. My second degree is from Winston-Salem University when I went back to school as an adult to get my BS in Education.
Activities:
READING AND WRITING! I love both. I have had one children's book published in June of 2006 and am currently working on my second book. I hope to have it published in the year 2010. (Sorry, don't know the title yet!)
Favorite Books:
Adult books, have too many--but love Janet Evanovich books, and almost any good mystery or suspense novel. I love reading quality children's literature, and one of my favorite children's books is Inkheart and Inkspell by C. Funke.

Interests:
I love to quilt, read, write, listen to music, and visit with friends. We have a beautiful yard, and I love to sit on the gazebo and relax with my family. I also love going hiking in the mountains.
