Class Description:
General Music meets technology! We learn how to play guitars, pianos, and drums, then apply our knowledge to composing on the computers. We use Mixcraft 5 to arrange and create our own music as well as cool ringtones and videos!

Needs:
Computers that have at least 2 GB of memory would be very helpful to run our programs! Our current computers need a drastic upgrade to prevent the constant freezing of the programs that we run. We would also like to have a keyboard controller hooked up to every computer to allow for the students to be able to learn piano in a virtual world as well as play the piano parts directly into the comptuers for their composition assignments. Video cameras and digital cameras would help our multi-media work that we do with mixcraft. A mounted projector that doesn't make all of the students sweat from the heat it puts out! A document camera to allow us to use just one book for class instead of every student needing a book in front of them, allowing for more space to be utilized efficiently.

Make music and technology as fun as possible! Ensure that all skills being taught are also being applied to something that the student would be interested to ensure complete understanding.
