Why I need this:
This projector will allow me to create a stronger learning environment for my students who are primarily visual and audio learners. The population I serve is 35% special needs students. The average student is a struggling reader and I need to be able to present small chunks of information that they can process and we develop on. The projector will allow me to help them focus and use their auditory and visual learning modes simultaneously. I have found that by presenting smaller chunks of info packed bits to my students that I can help them build their comprehension and retention of skills and information.
The goal is to create the bridge to higher order thinking and learning which leads to deeper and more fulfilling experiences for the students. The success with the smaller chunks leads to longer more challenging reading and analyzing. This is critical for history and social science students. |
