Class Description:
I have a class of 25 students with abilities ranging from English language students to Gifted students. All the students in my classroom have a Chromebook for their use. They are very excited about learning new things and love to do STEM projects.
Position:

Needs:
For STEM Projects I would like to have Dash and Dot Robots, Cubelets Robot blocks, computer Microscope USB , flip camera, 3D Printer Educational programs to use on their Chromebooks: E-books, Lexia for reading, Study Island for Language Arts etc.
My Philosophy:
To the classroom, I bring a love of learning, technology skills, a child centered philosophy, and a belief that all children can succeed. The physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of all students is both continuous and sequential. Thus, my main goal is to give each individual in my class what is needed. I want to take them from where they are to as far as they can go this year.

About Me:
I am a 4th generation San Diego native who enjoys to travel and spend time outdoors. I also appreciate learning about new technology and ways in which I can incorporate that into the classroom. In addition to technology, i love to share my travel stories and experience with my students.

BA in Liberal Studies, Masters in Reading, GATE Certified, Reading Certificate, EITT Trained,
Activities:
I love to scuba dive, snow ski, snow board, cycling, water skiing, fishing, and experience most outdoor sports. I also love to cook.
Favorite Books:
I have a very eclectic tastes in books. Some of my favorites are the Power of One, Fragile Beasts, Unbroken, Bella Canto. I also enjoy reading cook books. The authors I enjoy are Clive Clussler , Brad Thor, Vince Flynn .
Interests:
I love to travel, read, technology and learn new things. My hobby is underwater photography.
Employment History:
I have been a teacher for 27 years and taught 2 through 8th grade.
Why Do I Teach?:
I love teaching because I am able to impart knowledge, create future leaders , and make a difference. I also love that I learn something new from my creative students everyday.
