Why I need this:
Our school needs Chromebooks to provide students with consistent, reliable access to digital learning tools during the school day. While many students have access to technology outside of school, access is not equal, and students do not always have devices that are appropriate for academic work. Having school-owned Chromebooks would help ensure that all students can complete assignments, conduct research, use online textbooks and learning platforms, practice keyboarding and digital literacy skills, and participate in technology-based instruction without barriers.
School-owned Chromebooks would also allow us to better manage student access for safety and accountability. When students use personal devices, it is more difficult to monitor activity, apply consistent filters, limit distractions, and ensure that students are accessing only appropriate educational content. With school-managed Chromebooks, we can use security settings, content filters, and classroom management tools to create a safer digital learning environment and help students practice responsible technology use. |
