Why Do I Teach?:
I love kids; all kids. I believe ALL kids can learn. I love to learn myself and relish spending my time looking for the wonderful in each and every child and situation. I look for what each child knows and can do and teach from there. I believe learning is social and that we construct our learning together. I believe in creative and critical thinking, problem solving, seeing the glass as half full, conversation, listening, art, music, drama, inquiry projects and real-world, 21st Century learning. I believe in modeling respect, expecting respect and in growing good citizens. My classroom is a democratic classroom and my heart is in this work 100%. Kids matter; they are the heart of today and the promise of our future.
