Class Description:
I teach three different social studies classes, including U.S. History, World History, and Law & Justice. I do not currently have technology in my classroom but my teaching style requires an LCD projector at a minimum.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
The only technology I have in my classroom is my own computer but my teaching style requires a LCD projector at a minimum. I would use many other forms of technology even if professional development is necessary. I want technology in my room so that I can adequately prepare my students for their future careers in the 21st century.
My Philosophy:
I believe that project based instruction is the best way for my students to learn. I strongly believe that students learn more through doing, thus I encourage my student to be leaders in their own learning experience and use projects to drive my instruction.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I have known since I was young that I wanted to be teacher and now that I am in my fourth year of teaching, I know that this profession is truly my calling. My job is exciting and different every day and I know that I am impacting my students in a positive way on a daily basis. I love teaching and I am eager to improve my career.
College and Degrees:
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with 6-12 Social Studies Education Masterof Education in Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision (will complete in May 2012)
